I've just bought a second hand Lumie Sunray bodyclock and I'm trying to get it working. I've got the intruction leaflet, and have followed what it says. But somehow I'm not getting a gradually sunrise. At the appropriate wake-up time, the beeper comes on, and so does the light, going from nothing to full-brightness in about a second. I thought that it was supposed to take 30 minutes. The bulb seems to be working, as I can press the up and down buttons to fade it in and out, but for some reason it doesn't work like that with the wake-up function. Any ideas?

Probably not the answer you want to hear, but perhaps sent an e-mail to Lumie for them to inspect/repair?

yeah, thanks, I guess that's probably my next option, presuming that I haven't missed something in the set-up.

The sunrise with a Bodyclock Sunray takes 30mins. If it's 11:30 and you set the alarm for 11:35 to test it, the whole thing will speed up to make sure you get your full sunrise by 11:35. Make sure you allow at least 30mins and it should be fine.

I'm having the same problem with mine. I set it for 7.15am, it starts coming on at 6.45am but the light doesn't get any bighter until 7.15am when the back up alarm goes off.......so waste of time really. This is the second one I have had that has had a problem with it. Think I need to send it back to Lumie, just haven't had the time. The first one was great and did what it said on the box at first but then went wrong when it was about 8 month old.
